KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is looking forward to usher in the new year.
In a Facebook posting today, Najib said the new year would be more meaningful with the celebration of the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY 2014) campaign.
He also called upon Malaysians to welcome tourists with a smile and well wishes.
“The new year is just around the corner and it will be more meaningful with the Visit Malaysia Year celebration.
“I learned that preparations for the campaign is on going at 37 entry points to welcome tourists.
“Together, let us open our doors and welcome tourists with a smile and Selamat Datang greetings,” he said.
The prime minister also shared several pictures on promotional activities by Tourism Malaysia for the VMY 2014 on his Facebook account.
It was reported that the campaign will see an influx of 28 million visitors, who will generate 76 billion in income for the country's coffers.
